Fix the card: set title, description, and a real 16:9 image
Why your shared links get ignored
Many hotels set a share title but skip the share image. In our data, roughly half of links had no proper image (Germany was lowest). A link without a clear, good-looking image gets fewer clicks, so fewer people reach your site.
The one change to make today
Set all three share fields on your Contact and Cancellation pages:
-
Share title
-
Share description (one short sentence)
-
Share image (16:9)
Use this simple image: a clean 16:9 banner with your page title big and your logo small.
Example (Contact page):
-
Title: “Contact [Hotel] — Phone, WhatsApp, Address, Hours”
-
Description: “Telephone, WhatsApp, map, and opening hours in one place.”
-
Image: 1200×675 (or 1280×720), high contrast, large words “Contact [Hotel]”
Example (Cancellation page):
-
Title: “Cancellation & Refunds — Rules and How to Cancel”
-
Description: “Free until [Xh]; after that [fee]; cancel via WhatsApp/Call.”
-
Image: 16:9 with the words “Cancellation & Refunds”
Make sure the image actually looks right
-
Paste each URL into a preview checker (for example, LinkedIn’s Post Inspector).
-
If the image crops badly or the text is tiny, export a new image with bigger type and more padding.
-
Keep file size reasonable (PNG or JPG).
Quick layout tips
-
Keep headline words huge (readable on a phone).
-
Leave safe margins on all sides so nothing gets cut.
-
Use your brand colors; for legibility, keep text high-contrast against the background.
-
Use the same visual style on both pages so your links look consistent wherever they’re shared.
One-minute checklist
-
Contact page has title + description + 16:9 image set
-
Cancellation page has title + description + 16:9 image set
-
Both URLs look correct in a preview checker
-
Text is readable on a phone without zooming
Why this works
People decide to click in a second. A clear title + a short description + a strong 16:9 image makes your link look trustworthy and worth tapping—so more visitors reach your page instead of a travel site.
